Fund Accountant - Toronto

Description:

Provision of accounting, valuation, investor, risk management and fund structuring services for a group of on-shore and off-shore investment funds.  Responsibilities include client relationship management, new business integration and meeting the reporting deadlines and demands of our clients.  Harmonic relies on a comprehensive in-house technology platform that supports, among other things, portfolio management and accounting, investor services and analytics, share and partner registration, asset and performance based fee calculations and valuation modeling for complex instruments.

Prerequisites:

• Professional public accounting qualification
• Minimum four years experience in a similar role or combined role working with complex securities and derivatives products
• High level of expertise and technical knowledge of alternative investment products, operations and the offshore financial services industry including systems technology, valuation accounting, share transfer and registration

Experience with portfolio management and fund analytics systems along with investment, operations orhedge fund specific experience would be an asset.
